Anjwado Island is an island better known by the name Purple Island. Every spring, it hosts a lavender festival, and in the autumn, an aster chrysanthemum festival takes place, painting the island in shades of purple. Additionally, the Birth Home of Kim Whanki (1913-1974), a famous Korean abstract artist, is located here.

Dochodo Island is an island located on the border of Dadohaehaesang National Park in Sinan. At the entrance of the island, there is a fantastic garden adorned with over 700 pine trees. Passing through here leads to a beautiful hydrangea park. In June, the island transforms into a colorful spectacle as around 30,000 hydrangea flowers of various species bloom. To the south of the island lies Simok Beach, which is part of Dadohaehaesang National Park.

1004 Islands Museum Park is a marine complex cultural district located on Yangsan Beach in Jaeundo Island. It comprises the World Shell Museum, 1004 Islands Stone Art Museum, Stone Garden, and Yangsan Beach. The Stone Garden features fountains, rock formations, and pine trees, while the 1004 Islands Stone Art Museum houses 1,400 donated stones. Additionally, the World Shell Museum exhibits shells and marine life collected from oceans around the world.

Samhakdo Cruise offers sightseeing cruises around the major attractions of Mokpo on the sea. During the day, they operate the Seascape City Tour, and in the evening, they offer Sunset and Fireworks Tours. Departing from the old coastal pier of Samhakdo Island, the cruise passes by Mokpo Maritime Cable Car Tower, Mokpodaegyo Bridge, and the Dancing Ocean Fountain before returning to the departure point. There are also many food stalls gathered around the pier area, providing ample enjoyment for visitors.

Catholic Mokpo Shrine is not only the starting point of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Gwangju, a central hub of Catholicism in Korea, but also the place where the first Legion of Mary (Lay Faith Community) headquarters in Korea was established. Bulhoesa Temple is a temple located in the middle of Deongnyongsan Mountain. It exudes a simple yet devout atmosphere. Behind it lies a beautiful forest of camellia trees. At the entrance of the temple, there are two stone Jangseung figures estimated to have been made around 1719. Jangseung is a traditional Korean cultural symbol believed to ward off evil spirits, and they are sculpted with comical expressions, providing an amusing sight for visitors.

Saseongam Hermitage is a hermitage located at the peak of Osan in Gurye (elevation 531m). It is estimated to have been built during the Baekje period (B.C. 18-A.D. 660). Many people visit it to see the sanctuary where the 53 statues of the Buddhist Avatamsaka Sutra are enshrined. The view of the Seomjingang River and the village from the temple is magnificent, and the refreshing breeze feels as if it penetrates through one's body, leading to its designation as a scenic spot in August 2014.
