Hongseong Jeongchungsa Shrine (정충사 (홍성))

Jeongchungsa Shrine is located in Hongseong-gun, Chungcheongnam-do. It was first built in 1632, and was then rebuilt after a time of disrepair in 1872. The shrine was designated as a cultural heritage of Chungcheongnam-do on October 20, 2009.

In addition, it provides traditional liquor education and business counseling to food service businesses and sales experts to continuously create demand for traditional liquor and expand the market. It is run by experts specializing in traditional liquor, including traditional liquor sommeliers, and it holds events to introduce various traditional liquors with different themes every month, as well as tasting events. Moreover, according to the monthly changing “Recommended Traditional Liquor by Month,” it displays a drinking glass and a bottle of the month recommended by the Korea Craft & Design Foundation.

You can experience pottery making at Gilsangyo, run by Kim Jong-young, a potter who has won numerous awards for jiggering techniques of forming pottery using a spinning plaster. Based on white porcelain clay, your experience will begin with the help of an expert after choosing a pottery design. Even if you are new to pottery, you will be able to complete a piece of pottery before you know it by following the instructions of the expert. After a 30-minute experience, you will paint the pottery and bake it with your name engraved. You can receive the finished pottery by courier in about two to three weeks.

Icheon Ceramics Village (이천도자기마을)

Icheon Ceramics Village is located at the four-way intersection of the ceramics village in Saeum-dong, Icheon-si, Gyeonggi-do. About 50 ceramic workshops are gathered in this village in about 40,000 m² area. Each workshop has its own unique characteristics, so visitors can take a look around and purchase freely. It's also fun to stop by a café and take a break. Some workshops operate a pottery-making experience program, allowing visitors to create their own work. Every spring and fall, in particular, a regular discount event on ceramics is held. Icheon is famous not only for pottery but also for its high-quality rice. Visiors will find restaurants of various sizes, from large hanok (traditional Korean house) to small houses, along the Gyeongchung-daero that serve rice produced in Icheon.

Gaudo Suspension Bridge (가우도 출렁다리)

Gaudo Island, the only inhabited island among Gangjin's eight islands, is connected to the mainland by a suspension bridge. The suspension bridges installed on both sides of the island have emerged as Gangjin's famous destination, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors every year. While crossing the dizzying suspension bridge, one can see the wonderful seascape that changes in brightness depending on the waves. The footbridges, Jeodu Suspension Bridge (438 m) or Dasan Bridge (716 m), can be used to entrance Gaudo Island, and there is also a clean trail along the coastline. It takes about one to one and a half hours to walk across both bridges, making it a great place to enjoy a walk.

Yeongnam Alps is the common name for seven mountains over 1,000 meters above sea level located in Sangbuk-myeon, Ulju-gun, Ulsan; Sinnae-myeon, Miryang-si, Gyeongsangnam-do; and Unmun-myeon, Cheongdo-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do. It was named “Yeongnam Alps” because it is as beautiful as the Alps in Europe. The Yeongnam Alps Complex Welcome Center is the starting point of a trip to the Yeongnam Alps and a complex cultural space. In addition to beautiful natural scenery, it has various facilities such as the Alps Cinema, Bungaeman Center, Climbing Center, and Culture Center, providing many things to see and enjoy for tourists. A 3-5 minute walk away is Sinbulsan Hongyupokpo Falls so that you can enjoy the coolness of its beautiful clear water.

Sangdaepo (상대포)

In the past, Sangdaepo was a famous international trading port where ships from China and Japan visited. It enjoyed its heyday as an international port where various cultures interacted actively since the end of the Unified Silla Kingdom, the first dynasty to achieve unification in the history of the Korean Peninsula, to the early period of the Goryeo dynasty (founded 918). Currently, it has been transformed into a small lake by the construction of the waterway. In spring, cherry blossoms in full bloom are reflected on the water surface, and in summer, lotus flowers are on full display, revealing picturesque scenery. The wooden bridge and trail along the lake as well as the flowers, make this place ideal for walking.

Yongbongsan Mountain (용봉산)

Yongbongsan Mountain is relatively small mountain, reaching a x_height of just 381 meters, but is filled with beautiful rocky outcroppings and peaks. The mountain is home to a wide range of Korean plants, including Korean pine trees, and cultural heritages such as Yongbongsa Temple.
