This village is renowned for its crystal-clear waters and vibrant greenery. Adding to its charm is the Seopdari Bridge, a unique structure crafted from wood and other plant materials, which becomes a highlight in wintertime. The bridge is installed in October when the river level decreases, and it remains in place until the onset of rainfall the following year. One of its most distinctive features is the Y-shaped pier, which, along with the bridge's unique design, creates a striking silhouette against the stunning natural backdrop of Yeongwol.

Seungni Observatory is the nearest to North Korea that is accessible to civilian visitors. It offers an expansive view of the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) and the areas of North Korea beyond it. Inside the observatory, there is an exhibition hall dedicated to the DMZ and North Korea. Located within the Civilian Control Zone (CCZ), the observatory strictly prohibits photography outside of designated areas. All visitors are required to always carry personal identification.

The historic site dedicated to him includes several key features: the house where he once lived, his tomb, a literary museum that showcases his life and works, and a sculpture of the poet.

Lady Suro Heonhwa Park is renowned as a prime location for sunrise viewing. According to legend, in the 8th Century, Lady Suro, celebrated for her beauty, was abducted by a dragon from the sea. The locals sang a song pleading for her release, and as the legend goes, Lady Suro was miraculously returned to land. This song, known as the Haega (Song of the Sea), is commemorated by the park. Starting from Imwon Port in Samcheok, it takes approximately 20 minutes on foot to reach the park's summit.

Deoksangigyegok Valley is adorned with several waterfalls, the most majestic being a 40-meter-tall waterfall located upstream. The beauty of the valley is further enhanced by numerous ponds scattered throughout the area. Notable landmarks include Nangmoam Rock, situated upstream, which strikingly resembles a reclining woman, and Seokburam Rock in the midstream area, said to mirror the image of a sitting Buddha. The valley itself, soaring over 100 meters high, is characterized by layered rock cliffs. These formations are the result of tectonic movements and weathering that have occurred over hundreds of millions of years, adding a profound sense of history and natural wonder to the landscape.
